Streakmate ("we", "us") is a shared habit-streak app for two people. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions? Email hello@streakmate.app.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you sign up we collect your display name and email address, and store a password with our authentication provider (we never see your raw password).

Content you create

• Your goals, pacts, streak history, rewards, and consequences.
• Proof photos you upload to show a goal was completed.
• Coordination data such as rest-day and emergency-freeze requests.

Information collected automatically

• Your device time zone, so streaks roll over on the correct day.
• Basic technical data (e.g. app/version, general error logs).
• Local storage on your device (e.g. your selected pact and whether you've seen the intro).

2. How we use your information

• To run the core service: create pacts, pair you with a partner, track streaks, and let your partner verify your proof.
• To sync data between you and your paired partner.
• To keep the service secure and fix problems.
• To respond to your support requests.

We do not sell your personal data, and we don't run third-party advertising.

3. What your partner can see

Streakmate is built for two people to share a streak. When you pair with a partner, they can see your display name, your goal, your streak status, and the proof photos you submit for verification, along with any rewards, consequences, and rest-day or freeze requests tied to your shared pact. Only share proof you're comfortable with your partner seeing.

4. Service providers we use

We rely on trusted providers to operate Streakmate. Your data is processed by them on our behalf:

• Google Firebase — authentication and database (your account, pacts, and streak data).
• Cloudinary — hosting of proof images you upload.
• Vercel — hosting of the web app.

Each provider has its own privacy practices governing how they handle data.

5. Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing hello@streakmate.app. Some records may persist briefly in backups before being removed.

6. Security

Access to pact data is restricted to its members through server-side security rules, and traffic is encrypted in transit. No online service can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

7. Children

Streakmate is not intended for anyone under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We don't knowingly collect data from children.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@streakmate.app.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
