1. The service
Streakmate lets two paired people keep a shared daily streak. Each person sets their own goal, submits proof, and verifies their partner's proof. If either person misses a day, the shared streak resets. Features include rewards, consequences, rest days, an emergency freeze, and a one-time streak rescue.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) and able to form a binding agreement to use Streakmate.
3. Your account
You're responsible for the information you provide and for keeping your login secure. Keep your credentials private, and let us know if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
4. Rewards and consequences are between you and your partner
Any rewards, consequences, or other arrangements you set within a pact are agreements between you and your partner. Streakmate simply records and reveals them at the right time. We do not enforce, guarantee, mediate, or take responsibility for any reward, consequence, or dispute arising from them. Only agree to stakes you're genuinely comfortable with.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you create, including proof photos. You grant us the limited permission needed to store, process, and display that content to you and your paired partner so the service can work. You are responsible for the content you upload.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that violates someone else's rights.
- Submit false or misleading proof, or attempt to game or forge streaks.
- Attempt to access accounts or data that aren't yours, or disrupt or reverse-engineer the service.
- Use Streakmate to harass, coerce, or harm your partner or anyone else.
We may suspend or remove access for conduct that breaks these rules.
7. Third-party services
Streakmate runs on third-party providers (including Google Firebase, Cloudinary, and Vercel). Your use of the service is also subject to their terms where applicable.
8. Service provided "as is"
Streakmate is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that streaks, reminders, or data will always be accurate or preserved.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Streakmate and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the service.
10. Termination
You can stop using Streakmate at any time and request deletion of your account. We may suspend or end access if these terms are violated or if we discontinue the service.
11. Changes
We may update the service or these terms over time. When we make material changes to the terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable where the operator of Streakmate is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
